The first three carry the system: deep black for chapter dividers, warm cream for display titles, brick coral for the NL body text. The remaining four are pulled from the photography across the collections.

Die ersten drei tragen das System: tiefes Schwarz für die Kapiteltrenner, warmes Creme für die Display-Titel, Ziegel-Koralle für den NL-Fließtext. Die restlichen vier stammen aus der Fotografie der Kollektionen.

This was the biggest single thing I'd built by my third semester. 98 pages, two languages, one designer. Concept, structure, type, photography, copy, production. All of it. Es war das größte Projekt, das ich in meinem dritten Semester gemacht habe. 98 Seiten, zwei Sprachen, eine Gestalterin. Konzept, Struktur, Typografie, Bildauswahl, Text, Produktion. Alles.

Mapping the chaptersDie Kapitel kartieren

Seven chapters across 98 pages. Dark dividers for the conceptual breaks, cream chapters for content. The dark ones carry the display titles and full-bleed darkened imagery.
Sieben Kapitel auf 98 Seiten. Dunkle Trenner für konzeptionelle Schnitte, cremefarbene Kapitel für Inhalt. Die dunklen tragen die Display-Titel und abgedunkelte Vollflächen-Bilder.

Every spread carries English and Dutch. The body text sits in coral so the second language reads as material, not noise.
Jeder Spread trägt Englisch und Niederländisch. Der Fließtext steht in Korallrot, damit die zweite Sprache als Material wirkt, nicht als Lärm.

Producing the objectDas Objekt produzieren

Hardcover binding, cream printed against deep black, full-bleed colour photography on cream stock. The book had to feel like couture in the hand.
Hardcover-Bindung, cremefarbener Druck auf tiefem Schwarz, Vollflächen-Farbfotografie auf cremefarbenem Papier. Das Buch musste sich in der Hand wie Couture anfühlen.
